The 2012 walk
The Rotary Club of Werribee and friends will be embarking upon their 3rd 200km Charity Walk in 2012 in aid of the Victorian Palliative Care Program at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Palliative care at the RCH
Despite major advances in prevention and cures for serious conditions, sadly, there remains a group of children for which cure is not possible. The Victorian Paediatric Palliative Care Program (VPPCP) at The Royal Children’s Hospital comprises a team responsible for the facilitation of care of children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Most people don't realise that these children are usually cared for at home by their families, with support and guidance from VPPCP staff. Families may need equipment, nursing assistance, support for siblings and counselling on this most difficult of journeys.
